Millen, Harrington together again in unemployment

Sometimes storylines overlap so much it almost seems as if fate has brought them together.

Now there is another example.

On the same day that the Lions relievedMatt Millen of his duties, the New Orleans Saints cut quarterback Joey Harrington, the symbol of the despair in Detroit under Millen.

Harrington was the quarterback whom Millen tried to build his franchise around. He was the quarterback that Millen consistently backed even to the point of diminishing returns.

And now, almost symbolically, the two lost their jobs on the same day.
